OUR ENVIRONMENTAL CHARTER 🌿
In the heart of the Truyère Valley, between the reservoirs created by the dams and the vast open spaces of the Aubrac plateau, the Hôtel des Barrages has been watching over a natural setting that constitutes its greatest asset for more than a century. Caring for this land means caring for what defines us.
We are committed to a concrete and honest approach to environmental responsibility. We believe it's better to state precisely what has already been done and what we are working towards, rather than making empty promises. So, here, in all transparency, is where we stand.
What is already in place
We have equipped the entire establishment with double glazing to limit energy loss.
We compost our organic waste on site.
We apply selective sorting: glass, packaging, and disposal at the waste centre for other waste streams.
We control our lighting using timers in the common areas.
We maintain our green spaces without any pesticides, using electric equipment.
What we are committed to
We are gradually replacing our lighting with energy-efficient LED bulbs.
We use cleaning products with a recognized ecolabel.
We secure and reduce the storage of our products to the essentials.
We are reducing plastic and individual packaging.
We monitor our water and energy consumption month by month, in order to make progress based on real figures.
We are putting the establishment into a process of obtaining the Green Key label.
With you
A lighter stay for the valley also starts with our guests. In your room and in the common areas, a few simple actions regarding water, energy, and recycling make a real difference. Thank you for participating with us.
Establishment committed to obtaining the Green Key label.
